32 degrees!!!! Bit warm and dusty. Making hay whilst the Sun shines and wondering when it will rain next ? Kites,buzzards and kestrels all scanning the newly mown fields for morsels. Egg numbers are dipping in this heat.Everything seeking shade! Lambing at Lee House is now officially over and we have that wonderful evening call of the ewes gathering their offspring. Turkeys have arrived so Xmas starts to stir ! Calving complete and our new boy,"Rocky"has done well so far. Check out our picture slideshow lower down the page to see new members of our herd. Sheep shearing finished for now and lots of wool ready to be delivered to the Wool board for processing.
Spent hens/ boiling fowl/hard chicken or "Old girls"as we call them were briefly back on the menu! More to come September /October time.
